What to expect?
In 2026, we are bringing together KS3 students and teachers of French from across the UK for a dynamic, interactive MFL adventure like no other, at the Travelbound-exclusive Château du Molay in Normandy.

Throughout the weekend, students will participate in engaging activities and excursions with a dedicated French speaker. This is a unique chance for students to enhance their learning outside the classroom, while connecting with peers from other schools.
Set in the stunning Château du Molay, the weekend offers access to fantastic facilities, where students can dive into practical activities and gain invaluable insights into the local culture, while a dedicated animateur ensures that your students get the most out of every visit and come away with increased confidence and having had an immersive experience.

Your accommodation: the Château du Molay

Our exclusive 18th-century Château du Molay can accommodate 195 guests in 42 en-suite bedrooms and is set amongst 38 acres of beautiful private parkland.
Located only 14 kms from Bayeux, within easy reach of the world-famous Calvados coast and just a 45-minute journey from Caen, the Château is in an ideal location for school groups coming from the UK.
Your excursions

Battle of the Bistros
This French Language challenge, designed by specialist company E3 Trails, is a team activity undertaking various exercises in the charming medieval town of Bayeux, aiming to reinforce students’ vocabulary on the subject of ‘Food and Drink’ while having fun.

Chèvrerie du Mesnil
Students can play with the goats, learn about dairy products such as milk and cheese, and try the cheeses at this working goat farm. Practice language skills and develop vocabulary while learning about this area’s traditional produce and cheese-making process.

Château Activities
Choose from a range of fun and educational activities, such as initiative exercises, survival skills, sporting games at our various on-site sports facilities, circus frenzy and tree-planting, to name a few. Our experienced Château staff are also on hand to help.
