Some of our favourite destinations in the UK
Liverpool has an unrivalled musical past and was the home of the Beatles, the most successful band of all time. Groups can visit the Cavern Pub and Club, the Beatles Story Museum and follow in the Fab Four’s footsteps with a Strawberry Fields Tour. Music is still very much alive in the city, with pubs and bars offering live music most days of the week. The city also offers great architecture, fantastic shopping opportunities and a long maritime history to explore through its museums. Performance opportunities in the city include Liverpool One Shopping Centre, Liverpool Cathedral, St Anne’s Church. Outside the city, we can offer various performance opportunities in Chester and Southport.
The two cities are close enough to be explored on the same tour and have much to offer to visiting groups. Bath is of course famous for its stylish architecture and Roman Baths, whilst Bristol offers the vibrant atmosphere of a University destination coupled with interesting attractions such as Brunel SS Great Britain, the Clifton Suspension Bridge, the Cathedral, the Aquarium, as well as Banksy’s street art. Venture further afield to Cheddar Gorge and Cave or enjoy a trip on the beautifully restored Avon Valley Railway. Depending on your group’s requirements, concerts can be arranged in Wells Cathedral, Bristol Cathedral, Bath Abbey, the University of Bristol and Victoria Park Bandstand in Bath.
The elegant and historic city of Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital, is steeped in history and home to many fascinating visits, ranging from Edinburgh Castle to the Royal Yacht Britannia in Leith, and the Big Bang at Dynamic Earth. Performance opportunities include the Great Hall in Edinburgh Castle itself, St Giles’ Cathedral, St Cuthbert’s Church and Grassmarket in the Old Town. Take part in a Ghost Tour to find out more about the city’s fascinating past!
World-class museums, exciting attractions and interesting architecture make London a city that is popular with all types of groups. Add to that the great shows available on the West End, some truly great concert venues and performing arts workshops, and it is easy to see why you don’t have to travel far for an inspirational music tour. Performances can be arranged on the bandstands in many of the city’s parks as well as at Covent Garden and the Royal Embankment Gardens. Choirs have the opportunity to sing in St Paul’s Cathedral, Southwark Cathedral and Westminster Cathedral, as well as in many smaller churches.
Quirky, extrovert and relaxed, Brighton is a colourful and exciting destination for a music group. Groups can explore the quaint Lanes, visit the famous Royal Pavilion or enjoy a bird’s view over the city and beyond with a trip on the British Airways i360. The seafront promenade is full of life all year round with many bars, restaurants, clubs and street artists. Performance opportunities include the Brighton Fringe Festival in May, the Unitarian Church, the Royal Pavilion Gardens, the Seafront Bandstand, St Paul’s Church and St George’s Church.
