This upmarket Parisian shopping mecca holds free weekly fashion show on Fridays at 3pm on the seventh floor of the main Haussmann store in the Salon Opéra. A team of six professional models show off the latest trends by famous designers and couturier collections.
The Museum of Fashion and Textiles in the Louvre draws from its collections of over 81,000 works representing the history of costume from the French Regency period to the present day and textiles from the 7th century onwards as well as examples of interior design, furniture, objets d’arts, wallpaper, tapestry, ceramic art, glassware, and toys.
This museum is dedicated to the inspirational self-taught fashion designer who rose to international fame. The Pierre Cardin museum has over 200 mannequins dressed in the designer’s most iconic garments from dresses to coats, eveningwear, futuristic clothing and accessories, as well as a furniture collection designed by Pierre Cardin in the 1970s. Take a guided tour of Yves Saint Laurent’s old atelier, now a foundation-museum dedicated to his life and work. It was conceived by the designer and his business and romantic partner Pierre Bergé. More than 5,000 pieces of apparel are stored here including many donated by his long-standing clients, such as Catherine Deneuve and Loulou de la Falaise.
Founded in 1926, Maison Fragonard is a family business boasting unique traditional French expertise. Located in the Opéra Garnier quarter of Paris, the Musée du Parfum Fragonard is a must-see. It welcomes perfume lovers and students for a free guided tour unveiling the manufacturing secrets of perfume and its fascinating history from Antiquity to the present day.
Enjoy unsurpassed views of the Eiffel Tower and the iconic Parisian skyline from the Observatory on the 56th floor of the Montparnasse Tower. Students can explore the city’s layout and beautiful architecture. In addition to the amazing panoramic views, there are educational displays, a VR Time Travel Experience, a 360° Café and a shop. Head up to the roof terrace for an even higher vantage point! A free Magnicity web app offers an immersive city experience.
