Take your group on an insightful tour of the oldest large-scale film studio in the world. It was founded in 1912 and covers an area of about 270,000 square feet. Hundreds of films have been filmed here from Fritz Lang’s Metropolisto The Pianist and the Bourne Ultimatum, and today it remains operational mainly for feature film productions.
German public broadcaster ARD’s Capital Studio is responsible for reporting on domestic politics. Set in the government quarter, it is right in the middle of the political action. Students see how the latest equipment is used to produce TV news reports and radio contributions, gaining an insight into state-of-the-art broadcasting from the heart of Berlin.
This 368-metre tower dominates the city skyline and is the tallest building in Germany. The Tower was built in the 1960s by the East German Government not least to demonstrate the strength and efficiency of the socialist party system. The observation deck at 203 metres includes Berlin’s highest bar and there is a revolving restaurant at a height of 207 metres. Combine your visit with Berlin Odyssey, a virtual reality time travel experience through 9 centuries of Berlin history, available at 203 metres.
